BIBLIOGRAPHIC ACCESS SERVICES: Cataloging Center Orphan Materials

The Cataloging Center at Lincoln Trail Libraries System receives items with no property stamp or identifying mark on them. There are three ways in which an "orphaned" item may be claimed:

1. Your library owns the item

If your library is the OWNING library of any "orphan" materials, your library can claim the item.

2. Your library is an LTLS LINC Online library

If any "orphan" item has not been requested by the owning library 90 days after posting, then any ONLINE LTLS LINC library can claim an item for free.
